At Charis Birth & Wellness, birth is approached with both clinical excellence and deep respect for the physiologic process. As an out-of-hospital midwifery practice serving low-risk pregnancies, our care is individualized and relationship-based—grounded in clinical skill, guided by discernment, and shaped by a commitment to preserving the integrity of normal birth. We do not operate from a one-size-fits-all model; each pregnancy is assessed on its own merits, with ongoing evaluation to maintain safety while honoring the body’s design.

We believe birth is not a medical event by default, but a normal physiologic process. Our role is to support—not control—that process through attentive, evidence-based care. True safety is achieved through careful screening, continuous risk assessment, and skilled presence—not routine intervention. Care includes routine maternal assessments, evidence-based labs and screening, evaluation of fetal growth and well-being, and clearly defined criteria for transfer when indicated.

Care at Charis is rooted in relationship and continuity—care that knows you, not just your chart. From prenatal visits through labor, birth, and the postpartum season, we offer thorough, attentive support that holds both the clinical and the personal with equal weight. We monitor with intention, respond with skill, and remain present in the moments that matter most.
