Relationship-based home birth
midwifery care for low-risk
families in Metro Atlanta.

Hi, I’m Jill.

Certified Professional Midwife • Wife • Mom • Birth Worker Since 2006

I believe the best care is both clinically sound and deeply personal. For nearly two decades, I've had the privilege of walking alongside women and families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum season. My goal is simple: to provide steady support, thoughtful guidance, and a space where you feel known and cared for every step of the way.

At Charis Birth & Wellness, we believe the best care begins with relationship.

We provide individualized out-of-hospital midwifery care for low-risk families throughout Metro Atlanta, combining clinical skill with compassionate support every step of the way.

Our goal is simple: to provide a space where you feel seen, heard, and deeply cared for throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum season.

Care Through Every Season

From your first prenatal visit through the postpartum season, care is designed to provide both clinical excellence and relational support every step of the way.

Pregnancy

Relationship-centered prenatal care with routine assessments, evidence-based screening, and the time to truly know you—not just your chart. Each visit is designed to provide both clinical excellence and personal support throughout pregnancy.

Because preparing for birth involves more than checking boxes—it means building trust, answering questions, and walking alongside you every step of the way.

Birth

Skilled home birth care with attentive support, clinical discernment, and deep respect for the physiologic process of birth. We monitor with intention, respond with skill, and remain present in the moments that matter most.

Our role is not to control birth, but to support it—providing experienced care while honoring the body's design and preserving your autonomy throughout the process.

Postpartum

Because care doesn't end when the baby arrives. Continued support for both mother and baby includes home visits, newborn screening, breastfeeding support, and ongoing follow-up through the early weeks after birth.

Whether you're celebrating victories, navigating challenges, or simply adjusting to life with a newborn, you don't have to do it alone.

Kind Words from Families We’ve Served

The privilege of walking alongside families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum is one I never take for granted.

There are not enough words to express how grateful I am for our midwife, Jill Snelson!!!

She loves Jesus deeply, and that love flows into every part of the care she provides. She carries a warmth, gentleness, and kindness that immediately puts you at ease. The moment she walks into the room, you can breathe a little deeper, relax a little more, and feel safe enough to surrender to the birth process in peace.

She is the kind of midwife who will pray over you, encourage you, and somehow know exactly what you need before you even ask. She takes the time to truly know her clients—not just their medical history, but who they are as people. Because of that, she knows what is normal for you and what isn't.

I genuinely believe that attentiveness may have saved my life. After my most recent birth, she recognized that my blood pressure was abnormal for me. While others may have overlooked the early warning signs, she knew my baseline well enough to take even small changes seriously. Her wisdom, discernment, and knowledge led her to act quickly, and I will always be grateful for that.
